I’ve actually heard LeBron to Philly whispers, which would be terrifying but unlikely.

If the Lakers did blow it up, what do we think about AD as our missing piece? (I think I’d be too scared of his availability and his contract, personally.)

I’m still waiting for one pure basketball analysis on why someone would draft Bronny outside of “to get LeBron”. And speaking of Mr. James, the Laker fans I know all say “he’s not Kobe”. Part of that is unrealistic expectations from someone who – as great as he is – about to turn 40. But part of it is them knowing that LeBron as a Laker is mostly a business arrangement. Sure, they just so happened to get a (covid) ring out of the deal, but any path for them to get back to serious contention with him has set sail. I don’t see him taking the kind of paycut on a new deal that would allow the team to go after another high-level star or get a better bench. And the Lakers would absolutely burn a 2RP to draft Bronny…

Was gonna say same. I’m thinking Alan does a long feature interview in Rolling Stone with Edie Falco looking in deep despair at replays of Embiid’s fouls in game 3 just like Mick looking at Altamont footage in GIMME SHELTER. For context RS prints frame by frame stills of all Embiid’s dirty plays on that night and throughout his career and the evidence speaks for itself 😉
