Dieng is a nice prospect at age 20 to have as like your #13 guy but it seems like any schmo can rack up big G league numbers, so grain of salt there I guess.

I’m guessing his point was something akin to: “Couldn’t we have used this guy?” Well, arguments could go either way: His stats in the NBA have been very below average. At the same time, is he someone we could have on our bench rather than Alec Burks or Ryan Arcidiacono (yes, I know he’s not still here)? And the answer to that is “Sure, he’d probably be at least as useful as those two guys, if not potentially moreso.”

But likely he’d get little to no run under Thibs.

I just think it’s all kind of silly. We seem to have reached the point where analysts have officially overthought the game. Reverse jockeying for playoff positioning is a losers game and being scared of matchups never ended well for anybody. Just beat the team you’re playing and move on to the next game. The #2 seed has won 95% of all first round matchups. Shit or get off the pot.
