Disregarding tiebreakers, the Knicks’ “magic number” over the Heat is 10 and over the Pacers is 9 with about six games left to go. If we fall to the 6th spot (whether or not it is desirable to do so could obviously be a whole ‘nother thread), that would mean that something went very, very wrong.
