I’m trying hard now to curtail my “cheat” days…

that makes sense, particularly if you’re not overly indulgent with life in general…you seem pretty on task mostly, and it’s good to keep an edge…

it kind of sounds like you may not be all that in to cooking yourself…

one of the things I’ve enjoyed about not working is the time I can spend on food preparation, that didn’t really happen before…or, at least I didn’t take the time for it…

so now when I do make a meal it’s usually pretty good…

most of that happens when the boys come over on the weekend – cooking and cleaning…

I like that, it’s a pretty easy/quick way to get a little parenting affirmation…

i have fed the kids – job done well 😊

And to answer your question, two cups of coffee and two grapes.

My favorite meal is big greasy breakfasts. But I tend to keep them to one or two a month. Sunday eggs benedicts out with the lad, that sort of thing. I find I’m quicker and smarter when I’m hungry. I don’t struggle with blood sugar bonks or any kind of hangry issues, so a little edge can work wonders.

when I hit 50 or so I remember doing some research on how to best age “successfully”…

the usual: sleep, diet, body movement, mental growth came up frequently…one other thing that was continually cited: social support from others…

a sense of belonging I guess…

I’m still speaking with my friend about relocating out here with me…we’ve known one another since ’91, so we’re as family now…

the discussion has been going on for a while now…I’m just needing to be patient…
