I had a shitty dad, dishonest and self serving…thankfully ma taught me how to parent well…didn’t wanna be like my dad though…

it’s a lot of work, and I only do it part time…

you know what the coolest part is – it is truly one of those things that if you can get it right there is no more satisfying feeling in the world…almost nothing else matters…clarity of purpose is power…

it seems to be easier to be a better you when you’re motivated to do so for others…

I haven’t posted as much of late because it’s usually 1AM EST by the time I get the chance, and the morning thread tends to cut off the conversation. On top of that, the whole “half our talent is always fucking injured” story arc that I suspect is going to turn out to define this season has been numbing.

Anyway, to answer your question, I wasn’t in the best place mentally back circa 2012. My twenties were kind of an extended bad Randle season. I felt that our next 10 years or so as a team were going to be a hopeless morass of incompetent futility and broken dreams. You know, crazy talk!

Somehow, spreading that doom and gloom felt cathartic in some way.

i responded to the second dietician that the most impactful thing was my conversations with her colleague who was patient, listened and kindly explained things to me…that was the biggest difference by far…
