Everyone is making good points about what we are putting on the floor now. I agree with all of you.

But we put ourselves in this position.

Everyone also knows how much I love OG. I’d make that trade for him again.

However, this team really misses Quickley. He wasn’t just our backup PG. He was also our 6th man energy scorer off the bench that could easily slide into the starting lineup to replace Brunson. He also had impact on defense. We could still win games like this if we had Quickley. We don’t. We have OG.

That is why I’ve been screaming about replacing Quickley. We needed a Brogdan type player or someone similar to run the 2nd unit, add scoring punch and start when Brunson was out.

As it was pre trades, this was a well constructed team that needed an upgrade from RJ. OG was the perfect player in every way. But we lost our backup PG, lost scoring punch off the bench, and weakened our bench defense. We tried to add some offensive punch with the Grimes trade, but that didn’t resolve the backup PG issue and weakened the bench defense further than the loss of just Quickley.

This is not a well constructed team right now.

In the off season they need to undo the damage of the Grimes trade and resolve the scoring and backup PG issue the RIGHT WAY.

In NLK News (No Longer Knicks), as reported Evan stank up the join with a Burks-ian shooting night; RJ and IQ had decent box scores but terrible plus-minuses (-19 and -21) in a stinker loss, Grimes and Evil Donte got more DNPs, and Obi had a decent if short night (14 pts in 17 min, 5-6 overall).

I'm still surprised Obi's back to being a scrub. I thought for sure he'd get 20-25 minutes a night at worst, which is what he started out with but he's now back to Thibsian levels. I guess we'll have to wait a while longer for the 'unlocking.' Makes me a little sad.

Good thing the Mavs have a significant gap between themselves and the 11th seed or Cuban might start thinking about tanking soon even if it pisses off both Doncic and Irving. We could get a very good pick from Dallas.

Watching Dallas over the last few years has been hysterical. They went from being one high caliber 3&D role player away from being a serious title contender to a musical chairs comedy of errors and asset abuse that’s taken them further away and left them less to work with. Cuban is the worst. Steve Mills would be an upgrade. OK, maybe that’s an exaggeration.

The roster we put on the floor tonight is a top 5 lottery roster. And every game counts so when y’all say your prayers tonight, be sure to say a special one to Uncle Thibs who played his starters a few extra minutes in November- February and banked a few extra wins that are sure going to come in handy in early April.

This is the trade off. Bogdanovic is slow as a sloth. Brurks is slightly better on defense. But they are both very good shooters and at some point they will start making their shots at a higher rate. People are currently mad that we didn't play Precious Achiuwa more tonight. Precious for his career averages 14 points per 36 on 53% TS and I can't say they're wrong. We're really beat up, we have maybe one good offense player if we're not playing Bojan and Burks.
