I doubt Burks got significantly worse between his last game in Detroit and now. There’s a lot of shooting variance that should even out.

He can’t do as much with the ball in his hand this time around but it’d be surprising if he can’t hit 40% from 3 on high volume.

One of either Trae or Murray is very likely to get traded in the off season. Both are guards that are better with the ball in their hands, but there’s only one ball.

It’s not that complicated. We still need a PG in the 2nd unit or Burks and Bojan will have to create more for themselves. They aren’t going to be as efficient creating for themselves. We want both of them shooting quality 3s off kick outs that came from penetration or a double team, but we don’t have that without a legit PG or Randle/Brunson playing with that unit. It will be interesting to see what Thibs when Randle comes back. The only other way around it is excellent ball movement, but that kind of comes and goes with this team.

If we were at least getting them a lot of quality shots, we could at live with them getting targeted on defense.

It’s hard to evaluate Burks and Bojan from this Game. Boston defended fiercely when we were trying to score in the third quarter and come back in the fourth quarter. Boston was not doubling much and didn’t leave people open. That is a very hard environment for Burks and Bojan to score well.

Like if Burks is 3-7 from 3 instead of 1-7 he has played a fine game for a bench player. Our bench doesn’t have anyone who can create shots for other guys still, but Bojan and Burks can score themselves, which is more than we had a couple weeks ago.
