I did some interview questions for a documentary our old buddy, Robert Silverman, is working on. That was fun to have a Knickerblogger reunion there.

But the question is, was the FO correct to not be all that committed to keeping them? It depends on how good they turn out to be, doesn’t it? And in IQ’s case, it depends on how much he signs for, doesn’t it? Because my take is that they felt that IQ was not worth signing for the $25M he wanted, and if they offered any less, he was going to become a RFA, and then who knows, maybe someone offers him $30M? Then you risk either overpaying him or losing him for nothing.

I think the moment that IQ chose not to sign for what the Knicks offered, he was likely to be traded, so it was just a question of return. As to the OG trade, it all depends on how much you value RJ. If he keeps putting up a $600+ TS%, IQ may become an afterthought. But I think Knicks management wanted OG desperately and were not as high on IQ as many here are, and were probably a bit out on RJ and his contract. I also think they were frustrated with Grimes’ lack of further development, and did not think he was worth waiting on any longer.

It might be a while before we know how it works out, since stat-padding in big roles on shitty teams doesn’t do much for me.

I dunno, Hali seems pretty damn legit to me. I think he’ll do just fine under playoff pressure.

Seems very likely we could have used Grimes and two 1sts instead of IQ but we were just dying to get rid of him. Damn shame.

I haven’t see that show…I will check it out…running out of stuff to watch…just finished The Brothers Sun…good martial arts choreography in there..pretty funny also…

Watched Equalizer 3 the other night…that had some good close in fighting/weapon usage…pretty nice scenery to there on the Amalfi Coast..Denzel did a nice job…weird that Dakota Fanning is in there…they did a movie together Man on Fire (which is always a good watch) when she was a little kid…now she’s all grown up…

So while the role for an additional bench guard in DDV was limited there was at least minutes and then he far surpassed expectations. There are no minutes for Precious and we’ve had a lot of minutes with him this year so I doubt there is some next level where he ends up better than IHart or Hart or Mitch or Randle.

Hali, Donovan, & Brunson have only 20-28% of their 2pm assisted.

OEPM puts Brunson in a virtual tie for 7th in the league with Giannis and Booker. That’s T-3 in the East after Hali & Embiid.
