Regarding Mitch, “resuming on court activities” is suitably vague enough that it could mean anything. But hey, hopefully it actually is good news!

Mitch resuming on court activities after the all-star break means he should be back sometime in March, no? That’s certainly good news- hopefully OG will be back by then!

If we are desperate for more bodies why not pick up a free agent or play some of our deeper bench instead of using assets for marginal players like Burks, overrated and bad fits like DJM or Brown, or old injury risks like Brogdon.

If we need wings we could sign TJ Warren, Jaylen Nowell, or Stanley Johnson, resign DaQuan Jeffries, or maybe just play Fournier.

For bigs, we could try Nerlens Noel, JaMychal Green, or even Blake Griffin, or give Toppin some minutes.

For PGs, we could simply play Flynn or take a flyer to see what John Wall, George Hill, or Austin Rivers have left.

All these players have probably enough that they can get us through the next month or two until we are fully healthy. No reason to give up assets for players who are not as good or fit as well as our top 8-10 players anyway.

I’d still like us to look further into De’Andre Hunter, he of the 27 points on 10-of-12 shooting (along with 7 rebounds) in 19 minutes last night. I know that it was a crazy high-scoring game against the Clippers, but still.
