a) his quote was not really mildly phrased…he said “…and in fact think the likelihood of the hypothesis has has increased…” based on his slow start to the season.
b) it is in the context of proffering the same “hypothesis” more than a year ago…tell me, do you think his 2022-23 all-NBA performance was in spite of physical decline? Or is it more likely that any suggestion that he was in decline was utterly disproved by his level of play?
c) it is also in the context of Randle winning Player of the Week by physically wrecking his last 3 opponents in the paint. I made a 3-word response to ess, you had a 5 word response to me, and then TNFH weighed in with the following:

Had TNFH not done that, the conversation would have ended right there. But he couldn’t resist a gratuitous swipe.

For the record, I don’t think there are any real “haters” here in the literal sense of the word. However, I do think, as I said above, that there is “a tendency to magnify Randle’s faults and minimize his contributions to winning.” Making up shit about physical decline in spite of all evidence to the contrary is symptomatic of that.

We were in the 2022 lottery, too. At least we’re gonna get three second round picks out of that one.

I think this is a vague, out of left field, and essentially meaningless potshot that someone with a less than zero chance of being a very broad definition of hater would make.

Z-man, I have say you are really puzzling me. You did misquote him, but you don’t seem to accept that. And now I think you are saying that his quoted mildly phrased statement makes him a hater (although your wording is so convoluted it’s hard to tell). But I don’t see it as a hate statement at all. And I like Randle, but I still don’t see anything wrong with what he said.
