Here in europe it means “wives and girlfriends” of famous people, namely sports players. Didn’t even knew it had another meaning.

I use that word a lot, “wag.” To me it always meant a hardened, crusty older person who makes droll observations, but that might not be the literal definition.

Statler and Waldorf, those guys are wags. Dorothy Parker. Jimmy Breslin. It has become antiquated and is becoming totally obsolete unfortunately. I probably picked it up from reading old baseball books when I was a kid.

I am thankful that Bam is questionable for tomorrow with a hip contusion.

Which, as some wag on Twitter noted, he probably got setting an illegal screen.

I almost forgot about all those illegal screens during our playoff match up. I hope he does play, and the whole team takes shots at that hip all game long.

Edit: What’s up with the “wag” thing Owen. I don’t believe I’m familiar with that term.
