such a small thing and such a large blessing…

been thinking a bunch about your question, reference: triggers…

it’s really complex…I recorded a lot of stuff reference the anxiety: symptoms/dates/specific details for a couple of years…

this spring though the therapist hit me with perhaps I was doing a self fulfilling prophecy thing…

it was funny, daughter suggested something similar atound the same time…

so, I stopped paying attention to it for some months…

it may make no logical sense, however the data is what it is…it is happening…it is recurring in relatively consistent time patterns…

I actually think this whole weird cyclic anxiety stuff is tied to my immune system…other physical stuff goes wrong during those periods…

thank god i’m kind of past the phase of trying to worry out all the why’s of what’s happening…

my focus now is on mitigating the effects and trying to stay on course with healthy routines…

this last episode kicked off with me cleaning up my house and visualizing how I wanted everything, and what steps would be required to accomplish the goal…

the trigger is me…the future seems to be a particularly precarious place for me to spend time, that’s funny because i don’t like to visit the past much…

I am soooooooo in the present right now…it’s so weird…

sort of like work – was, fantasizing about the future is an easy way for me to push my adrenaline button…

got to lay off that adrenal juice…like chocolate – it’s a habit I can’t continue to live with…

I am done hoping he takes “a leap,” i.e. I am done hoping he becomes a star, or to be quite honest even a well above-average player. I am not factoring such possibilities into my projections for the 2023-2024 Knicks.

If he can sustain what he accomplished last year and get the rest of his game back to average, he’ll be more efficient. If he can inch forward in some of those areas next year, he’ll start looking pretty good.

I’m more worried about him playing consistently high quality defense, his decision making, and his fit with Randle/Mitch long term. Spacing is still an issue with this starting lineup,
