Amirante is a great shout, too. I associate him more with the Rangers, though.

In 1989 the resurgent Knicks enjoyed a 25 game home winning streak. John Amirante sang the anthem a lot during that streak, but he didn’t sing it for the game against the Sixers that ended the streak, and I took note.

Fuk who was it?? I started using Extra E cause everyone else did and it was brilliant. Only time I really remember having a debate about him was a game I think in Philly where he passed up a corner 3pter at the end of the game and we were all pissed that he didn’t take the shot.
