Anyone have any insight as to why Dolan was the lone governor to vote against the sale of the Hornets to Rick Schnall and Gabe Plotkin?

a) he thinks teams should be inherited, not bought

b) he lost money on GameStop

c) they are okay with Charles Oakley’s drinking

d) they also opened for The
Eagles

e) he only votes for Trump

I encourage all to watch Goliath, a new Showtime 3-part documentary on Wilt. It goes deeply into both the man and his times in a way that transcends the sport and adds depth to the myths and realities. Very well done and highly worth watching. One interesting aspect of the show is how they use silhouette puppetry to play out various vignettes as the narrator speaks.

I’m also watching The Bear, and an HBO documentary series entitled Last Call: When a Serial Killer Stalked Queer New York. Both are riveting.

Fun fact: I used to play basketball against Schnall in a league in Armonk, NY. We lost in the championship to his team. He was very good, and in unbelievable shape for his age…probably the 40yo equivalent of a high-level D3 undersized shooting guard.

Reading all the articles in the Athletic about summer league was depressing, since we had no one on our roster worth any words from a sports writer assessing summer league. The Knicks have managed to build a good team anyway without hitting on high draft picks, but it still feels like looking into the window of a candy store you can’t go into.

Parenthood is rapidly moving from exhausting to worrisome.

too funny cuz it’s too true…my big challenge is two pre-teens constantly in my ear…

it’s like some kind of guantanamo bay torture…it’s sooooo disorienting at times…

I don’t know how folks like donnie stay sane…

good news though on the climate front…prayers answered – at the pool, it’s overcast and only about 85 degrees…

life is good again 😌
