Djoker to his friends.

The strange thing about him is that it’s sort of hard to see what makes him so good. Nadal would overpower you with power and relentlessness. Fed was elegant and would win points he crafted like a chess master. Djoker gets everything back and just refuses to lose. He turns defense into offense in a way I have never seen, hitting the most unbelievable shots from the most difficult positions like Plastic Man. He so often wins these classic rope a dopes where, like today, he makes his opponent think he can win the first set (sometimes they even do). Then the poor sap finds he is too exhausted to compete.

He could easily have 25 majors right now if not for the vaccine stuff and he has to be a favorite to win the calendar slam this year which is insane at 36. He is just astonishing and I don’t think anyone will remotely compare to him when he is done.

I saw yesterday the talk about Portugal, visiting/retiring. I actually want to retire to the Azores on an orchard. It’s a beautiful chain of islands!

Never been there, but yeah everybody that i know that has been there told me wonders about it.
