The most surprising lesson of the previous season for me was that Knicks Young Players Can Improve Significantly TOO!

I meant to write “our most successful season in forever” not “ever.”

I get third team Al NBA is kind of arbitrary but he was also second team all NBA two seasons ago. People want to blame someone for us losing to a team in the second round that went to the conference finals just last year when those same people did not think we’d be anywhere close to this good. So yeah, I don’t think anyone who didn’t think we had a chance to be this good can claim to know that we should trade Randle cause he’s a playoff choker or RJ cause he’ll never learn how to shoot threes knows what the duck they’re talking about.

Every single player on our team including Brunson, hart and Randle can come back next season Bette than they were this year. Every single one especially our young guys.

RJ can learn to shoot threes. Mitch can become a better free throw shooter. Randle can perform better in the playoffs. Grimes and IQ and McBride can all improve.

All the pundits said it was a disaster we didn’t get Mitchell and they were all wrong.

Bring the boys back. We do that and we can win a title next year.

We may have all vomited from RJ’s inconsistent performances over the years but the kid earned his next season in these playoffs.

Randle when he’s in his prime and third team all NBA

Randle being “third team All-NBA” was such an out there idea that they seriously changed how the All-NBA teams are determined going forward. Not literally because of Randle, but very much because of guys like him (DeAndre Jordan, First Team All-NBA, is probably the number one offender of all-time, though).

The Heat went to the finals in 2020. The following season they were the 6th seed and lost in the first round. Did Riley panic and make huge moves that completely changed the roster? Nope. He stuck with the same basic rotation bc he trusted his core and knew they were good. He tweaked a little and let continuity and culture so it’s thing. And now he’s got them back in the conference finals two seasons in a row.

We should tweak where we can but trading away RJ when he’s 22 and on a good contract or Randle when he’s in his prime and third team all NBA and on a fantastic contract would be stupid as shit.

IMO Leon would be an idiot to make some big move bc some fans or Stephen smith are clamoring for it after our most successful season ever when we lost in the second round to a team that went to the conference finals two years in a row and the finals three years ago.

Only an absolute moron would think we can’t get better off internal improvement when basically our entire rotation outside of three dudes is under 25. Everyone knows exactly what they need to do now to get better. Running it back with a small tweak would be the smartest thing Leon could do.

Brook Lopez is a free agent. Short of trading for a superstar, acquiring him might be the most impactful move we can make this offseason.

Dame is really fuckin’ good, and I get it, but we’ve seen Dame surrounded by poor defenders. It’s not been pretty.

If there were some configuration where we pick up Dame and move RJ & Randle for OG & another all-defense player, then maybe.
