I’m impressed that this site didn’t go ass over teacup after that loss, which was pretty embarrassing and irritating. Perhaps we’re all maturing?

On that note, from an article about the upcoming Woody Harrelson movie — I want this taped to RJ’s locker.

Cybersoze, we already signed Duane Washington Jr to the other two way spot.

You’re right, forgot about that signing. So the 2-way spots are taken by Duane and Moses, and then we have one open roster spot and DaQuan signed for 5 more days. So we have one or two spots (if we don’t re-sign DaQuan) to add players from the free-agent pool. Only players that were waived before March 1 and since then only signed 10-day contracts.

The Kyrie situation really complicates it for them, though. If the team just implodes, I imagine Kyrie would bolt to LA or some other team, if there’s any kind of market for him at all. Then you’ve lost by far the best player you’ve ever paired with Luka, plus the assets you traded to get him, all for a pretty damn low chance at getting Victor or Scoot? (Dallas is thirteen games behind the Hornets. At best — and it would require falling past a whole lot of teams — they are getting into the familiar Frankie Smokes/Kevin Knox range of the lottery that we know and loathe so well.)

That seems incredibly dangerous to me, especially since Dallas has never been a FA destination, so the cap space Kyrie’s departure opens up wouldn’t be as valuable to them as it would be to the Heat or the Lakers.

As a Knick fan, I’m not rooting for it to happen, but if I was in the Mav’s front office, Luka would have just had a season ending injury. I would then be praying to win the Wembayama sweepstakes. I’ve been corrupted by the pro tankers. I need to go take a shower now.

By the way, the ten day contract for Keels might have been a kind of favor for him. By being on the actual roster for ten days, I think that makes this season count a year of service for an NBA pension if he makes it that far.
