Well, technically, hE tested positive for anthrax … er, COVID … a week and a half or so ago and has been laying low.

But he’s not going to be able to spice anything up around here — this is a good team. Only thing to do now is hope they stay injury-free and wait for the playoff data points. If they get the five seed, *and* play well, they’ll give the Cavs a handful. (Of course, given what we saw in the last 4/5 battle they were in, it’s the “playing well” part that remains the wild card. I guess that’s kind of spicy.)

Julius Randle is 19th in BPM among qualifying players at 4.5 and has played 2,221 minutes, just behind Jayson Tatum who is 18th with 5.3 and 2,129 minutes. They are the only qualifying players in the top-20 with over 2,000 minutes played. The only other two players in the top-50 with over 2000 minutes are Jalen Brunson (23rd, 3.8) and Nikola Vucevic (32nd, 3.0).

Other than Tatum and Sabonis (17th, 5.4, 1,966), Randle has played at least 300 minutes more than anyone above him.

Incredible turnaround. Long live the new and improved version of Julius.
