I mean, no organization hits on all of their draft picks. But when you have 3 top ten lottery picks, you have to get at least one starter out of that group, or at worst a solid rotation player.

All we have is Obi, and God knows he may not even be the latter.

RE Frank vs. Donovan, I seem to recall reading that the Knicks had some interest in DM, but most of the buzz was that the Knicks were going to take Frank or DSJ, and Dallas the leftover. The Knicks eventually ended up with both of them, to no avail.

The Knox pick was brutal. Picking Obi was not good, but not just outright awful like Knox.

I guess tonight is sort of a “must win” game, given how bad Detroit is.

It’s how the game is played and I have massive respect for how they have conducted themselves off the pitch. And I actually think that that arm on the shoulder in the box was closer than it looked or was made to seem. I wouldn’t have given the pk there to be clear but it was a complete no brainer.

End of the day I don’t understand why you don’t have Reyna in the field. He’s a guy with dribbling skill you want to retain possession.

And Shaq and Haji just aren’t World Cup quality players. I don’t get it.

I don’t begrudge Iran, as it really was their best chances of advancing, but ugh, it was brutal to watch them try to flop their way to penalties constantly.

I wasn’t saying Knox was justified that high bc he was mocked higher than Shai. I was just saying that Shai himself wasn’t mocked as high as The Knicks picked in that draft.

I think because Shai was skinny. That was the only reason.

Proud of the boys. They did it.

But the lack of poise and composure on the ball in the second half was really frustrating. Good teams can hold the ball in that situation.

I think Keels was one of the youngest in the draft. This season he’ll probably only play for the Westies. And we can have him 2 seasons on a 2-way contract, like SAC is doing with Queta (last season and this season).
