IMO, those who think every team in the NBA is 1 or 2 stars away from a championship are delusional. What is missing is a strong support team. The Knicks are buyers – not sellers.

I don’t know where the $70M cap space number for the Lakers next summer came from. It’s not true at all. It’s probably going to be a little over $30M. AD and LeBron will earn about $88M by themselves. You need ten minimum salaries to go with that and presumably they will have a first round draft pick to pay (worst of theirs and the Pelicans). Subtract all that from a salary cap of something like $130M and you see where the $30M comes from.

I was playing a drinking game a couple months ago with some friends. For one of the cards, the tallest person had to drink. I was the tallest. I’m 5’8″.

I spent the next 10 minutes going back to back with everyone over and over out of confusion because that’s literally the only time that’s ever happened to me.

Of the famous people I’ve met on this job, the only ones who made me feel short were Gwendoline Christie (in stiletto heels), the guy who played Jonah on Veep, and Abraham Benrubi, who was Jerry the desk clerk on ER and played a gigantic high school bully on Parker Lewis Can’t Lose. And almost everybody else is very short.
