Wait, what’d Donaldson do? Dislike the Yankees, hate Donaldson, hoping for a giddy baseball Karen moment. Fill us in.

Donaldson hit a ball to the short porch in right. He assumed it was a home run and began trotting around the bases. Instead, the ball bounced off the top of the wall and right back onto the field of play, making it a live ball. And because he was doing the kind of self-promotional theatrics that he would yell at any other player for, he got thrown out stuck between first and second. Complete jackass.

And then it kind of happened again a few innings later, where the Cleveland third baseman dropped what seemed to be an easy line drive out. Donaldson assumed it was caught and kept his foot on the first base bag, and thus got caught in a double play.

The latter was slightly less egregious than the former, but still: clown getting clowned.
