Complaining about not tanking down to #7 is a bit disingenuous. I think even if we had fully committed to the tank post-all-star break (prior to the all-star break we did accidentally tank by going 3-13) we could not have caught Portland. Their tank was one of the strongest I've ever seen, they went 2-21 with almost all blowouts. I think the best we could have hoped for was the 8th pick. That would be a lot better than 11 but there was no way Sharpe, Ivey, or Murray were falling to 8 so we can probably dispense some of the handwringing. Plus we got to see Toppin and IQ shine which could very well earn them a bigger role next year, or at least get the press all hot and bothered about them playing more, which is probably worth a couple draft spots anyway.

Let's see if what is taken between 8-10 is much better than what's available at 11 before we get upset. Don't get me wrong I hate Dolan and Thibs as much as anyone but I'm not going to lose sleep over slipping a couple spots when it looks like we'll have at least a couple really nice players fall to us.

I don't care that much about tanking or not tanking. I just want to see our young players play a lot of minutes and not have to watch Randle or our squad of vet mercs play at all. If we do that like we did to finish the season I am fine where ever we pick.

Guys, I’m not saying to move to Orlando. I’m saying that, when you are alone, at your computer, typing to a bunch of strangers about how the Knicks are stupid for winning meaningless games with veterans on market rate contracts and playing for the 10th seed instead of developing their young players, there ARE other options. But if denigrating Orlando and Magic fans makes you feel better about rooting for a team owned by James Dolan, go for it. (Personally, when I’m watching basketball on TV, I don’t care much about the actors or musicians sitting court-side, or the cuisine around the arena, or whether there’s an opera house to be seen in any of the aerial blimp shots, or who the governor living way off in the state capital is. Pretty much everybody here agrees that it’s fun to watch a bunch of young players with upside grow together. The Magic leaders in minutes were Wagner, Anthony, Carter, Bamba, and Okeke, all 23 and under, plus they have Suggs, Fultz, Hampton, Isaac(!), and now the #1 pick waiting to make their impacts. Whatever bad decisions they’ve made in the past are moot, the future is bright, and it’s precisely because they have done what a lot of people here have implored the Knicks to do.)

Kinda sucks that this franchise is obsessed with picking in the mid-to-late lottery, as it's run by a bunch of incompetent ninnies, but Keegan Murray is going to go #7 and we're really going to see just how much it sucks to win those extra 4 or 5 games for literally no reason at all.
