Cam looked bad, but he also has been on a shelf for weeks. My expectations are not high, but I want to see him get extended minutes, preferably with a real point guard — assuming we ever have a healthy one of those on the roster for a long period of time.

still trying to figure out what i’m gonna do with my time moving forward…

is this the time to “man up”, get back to the grind and a more “normal” routine, or, continue to delay/wait until i get more proof that i’m okay, or, start looking in more detail at options for spending more time in the garden and enjoying afternoon naps – find a way to pull the cord now and try to land as softly as possible…

i like to work – it’s a fun distraction to me, it’s excites me (to my own demise now), it’s a decent source of self-worth, i don’t mind money and i like to shop…i remember the first job i ever had when money just started rolling in (worked in semi-conductor manufacturing)…money can be very very sexy and appealing…

was speaking with an older couple (they had me by 15 years maybe) at the park…it’s a decent area in california, california ain’t cheap – they said though that they’re in no way wealthy, they just make sure to spend less than they take in…simple, but true…they said something about the fact that the only thing we ever really own in our lifetimes is our time…

A botanist would use the botanical classification, which is based on the plant’s physiological characteristics, like the structure, function and organisation of the plant. Therefore, botanically speaking, a ‘fruit’ is the seed-bearing product that grows from the ovary of a flowering plant or, in other words, a fruit is the plants’ way of spreading its’ seeds. A botanical fruit would have at least one seed and grow from the flower of the plant. With this definition in mind, peppers are classified as fruit because they contain tiny seeds in the middle and grow from the flower of the pepper plant.
A ‘vegetable’ in botanical terms does not have a set definition but is more of a general term encompassing all other edible aspects of the plant, the roots, stems and leaves. So, putting our botany caps on, we would classify foods like apples, strawberries and cherries as fruit, including peppers!
A nutritionist or chef would use the culinary classification system, that defines fruit and vegetables in a slightly different manner, basing it on the way the plants are used and their flavour profiles. Culinary speaking, a ‘vegetable’ usually has a tougher texture, tastes blander and often requires cooking in dishes like stews, soups or stir-fries. Whereas, a ‘fruit’ has a soft texture, tends to be either sweet or tart and is often enjoyed raw or in desserts or jams.
Peppers can be crunchy, refreshing and enjoyed raw. Yet, we also prepare peppers in savoury dishes like stews or in fajitas, which is why we usually classify peppers as vegetables..so…you’re good Geo…no matter if they’re covered in velveeta and wrapped in fried flour…
