there were questions about johnson’s half court game and really there wasn’t a ton of games to evaluate everything on… the shot and his ability to create off the dribble were legitimate and probably still huge question marks.. that’s on top of some character issues which may or may not have been overblown…

lots of mystery surrounding him… but what we did see was a lot more good than bad….

Also shouldn’t overreact to one summer league game but I already thought Jalen Johnson was going to make us mad for a long time to come, and his debut certainly did not disabuse me of that notion.

They did dj, IQ went up for a three after he got a guy in the air and made an abnormal shooting motion to draw contact and it was a no call. IQ went up to the ref afterward and they informed him about the new contact rules from the look of it.

Also, too early to say I told you so but Jalen Johnson had 20 points on 8-12 from the field, 1-2 from 3, man I wish we had him on our squad
