It’s not basketball, but this bit from the WashPost is just ridiculous.

No pitcher had ever struck out 50 batters in his first four starts. DeGrom hit that number in the seventh — shortly before he singled in the eighth, equaling the Nationals’ number of hits and upping his batting average to .545 in 11 at-bats.

Knicks are expected to add Myles Powell to one of their open roster spots, per league sources. Like the Jared Harper transaction, Knicks will ink Powell as a way to provide one of the Westchester Knicks with additional compensation. Powell is not expected to remain with team.

So it seems the Harper and Powell deals are just Rose playing Santa Claus with some unused cap space to make the Knicks more appealing to future UDFA types. Again, a marginal move, but smart.
