I had no opinion on what they should have done at the time, but they were probably thinking in terms of making one last 2-3 year run with Curry, Thompson, and Green like the original championship team that had Barnes and Bogut. Wiseman would become the new Bogut and Obre or Wiggins would become the new Barnes. Of course they could have brought in La Melo and shifted Thompson to SF.

I think they are going to try to trade Wiggins in the off season. He’s probably having his best season and he’s still young. I don’t watch any Warrior basketball, but I heard he’s defending fairly well this year and he’s been a bit more efficient. So while still a disastrous contract, it’s less disastrous now, lol

Maybe they can work something out with Dallas for Porzingis where Porzingis’s injury risk is offset by the larger overpay for Wiggins. They can argue other compensation. KP being available and GS being interested was the rumor floating around.
