Some metrics already have him as an elite PG. RPM has him as the 4th best PG this season.

and the third best pg according to rpm is ….. devonte graham… it’s a similar thing with raptor where thaddeus young is right next to ball….

that’s not to say rpm and raptor are useless…. but if you’re going to judge how good someone is relative to others then you should be using a full 360 view and aggregating instead of just using the 2 best metrics…

like if we’re exclusively using rpm and raptor… are you really believing that lonzo is better than kyrie? of course not right? and why is that? because beyond eye test ™ you have other metrics that show kyrie is better…

and there’s an argument to be made that we do need someone at pg that can take on more usage than lonzo… because with mitch.. bullock replacement… randle and rj… there’s probably room for someone in the 20s to take on a scoring load… and lonzo isn’t that guy and probably won’t ever be..

Lonzo has a strong defensive reputation that Brogdon lacks. I haven’t seen him play enough to comment, but it strikes me that we’d be getting much more on that side of the ball with Lonzo.

And, yeah, why not just be the team that absorbs Bledsoe. He’s due $18mil next year and is partially guaranteed the last year ($3.9). (In fact, forget Ball altogether, just be the team that absorbs Bledsoe and get some of those NOP picks out of their draft purse).

Losing Aller would be terrible, although there is probably a bigger supply of Aller’s out there than we realize. Hopefully Rose would move on to the next version.

I have always loved Brogdon, who has been a solid player throughout his career. Like Oladipo, he’s only put together one really good season though. You’d love to draft a guy like him and sign him to a reasonable extension but if we ended up getting him it would be fine. Major step up from Elf.

I am definitely at the point where I am ready to see solid guard play from someone under 30 in the Garden again.

The Knicks are certainly not over-saturated with young talent.
