Not only is that a terrible trade for us but why would GS do that?

Hmm. It almost seems like there’s ACTUAL DATA supporting the idea that teams with veteran experience have SOME advantage over teams that don’t.

Someone ought to tell Paul Millsap that playing in more career playoff games automatically gives you an advantage. He seems to have misplaced that ineffable, non-falsifiable veteran moxie.

Three of the four remaining teams have a ton of guys with limited playoff experience and yet there’s a solid chance that one of those “non-veteran” teams will end up winning a ring this year.

I still think Boston has the mildly better team, but that Miami team plays as hard as any team I’ve ever seen, they are well built, and well coached. I think whoever wins tonight will win the series. If Miami wins again they’ll prove the gap is narrow enough to beat them in a short series and at 3-1 they’ll have a huge edge. If Boston wins, they’ll reassert themselves as the superior team and at 2-2 have the clear edge again.

The Denver vs. LA series was more of a mystery to me because LA has the 2 best players in the series (which can pretty decisive in the playoffs), but Denver has two solid young stars that are really tough under pressure. They are a last second 3 away from being up 2-1 in this series. You’d think in crunch time of a close game, I’d rather have James and Davis over Jokic and Murray after saying LA has the 2 best players. But I’m not a huge fan of James at the FT line or on jump shots under super extreme pressure. I think he’s shakier than people realize. If Denver can get it down to the last minute even, their big 2 may have an edge unless Davis is the one that bails LA out again. They just have to hope their other inexperienced players don’t crack. LA has the more veteran team overall. But it’s going to be hard because in the flow of long game with less pressure, James and Davis might be too much for them to handle to even keep it close.

Maybe not hate just because some NY teams make lots of dumb moves, so it’s come to be expected, esp. from any NY team not named the Yankees.

geo: that sounds like a ton of fun and a good workout…how are you getting a chance to go rowing, is it just one of those exercise pieces of equipment, or is it like an actual boat thing?

I have a concept 2 rower in my garage…I bought it like 20 yrs ago when i was living in queens and used it for about 1 or 2 yrs and then never really used it much….I brought it out with me to cali when we moved here and since covid hit…i have been using it all the time…now that the outdoor pool in my neighborhood opened I am doing more swimming than rowing…nicer being outdoors rather than in the garage on that machine…

the music and food talk is awesome, but, the exercise talk stuff definitely helps motivate…
