The difference between watching Oklahoma City run their inbounds play in the final second of their game and Toronto run theirs was like watching two different sports altogether. And Boston is a team of good defenders, as opposed to the Houston players who, lets face it, don’t make their money on that end of the court. Which leads me to ask, why was Gilgous-Alexander inbounding in that situation instead of Chris Paul? Nurse wisely had his veteran leader and PG in charge of making the play happen yesterday. Whereas Donovan had a kid, who, in kid fashion, tried to inbound the ball to Steven Adams 25 feet from the basket in a catch-and-shoot situation.

i remember at the beginning of the season it looked like the yanks had a pretty challenging schedule for the first 30 games or so…i wasn’t really expecting all the injuries to continue for another season…thank goodness they don’t have to play the rays anymore during the regular season…

i wonder how much fight the rockets will have in them tonight…the nuggets looked pretty gassed after going 7 games…

Giannis game ain’t ready for domination in the Playoffs.
It was clear even from the National Teams World Cup.
When the game is loose he’s unstoppable but when the Ds are zones or pseudozones he’s in Real Trouble.
I expect him to have Serious problems against serious Ds of Miami, Toronto, Boston and Clippers.
F(uck)orget the numbers. He ain’t dominant yet during the playoffs.

On a dull Friday, here’s a nice mull about the evolution of the 5. Thinking of the talk here about Mitch, it’s not the three-pointer or ability to get to the rim in two long dribbles that could really add value (although those would be nice, and part of the equation, and I too hold out hope); it’s becoming a point center. I wonder if our new team of development experts will try to push him in that direction.

Given there were 0.5 seconds left and he had Tako Falls on him, I thought Lowery’s pass was every bit as impressive as O.G.’s shot. That pass was Bradyeseque( though Tatum looked like he used to play free safety for the football Giants).
