For the most part he played within himself and picked his spots. He also played 39 minutes, which confirms my thoughts that he’s probably one of the team’s leaders in minutes this season.

I didn’t love him as a college player but he was a reasonable pick at #3 and he can do some things.

rj is showing some real encouraging things… chief among them is that he’s not forcing stuff… and that’s when he’s at his best…. good to see the strong finish from summer league carrying over….

randle looks like he will be the focal point as we’ll see him facing up at the elbow a lot of the time…. it looked ok on one play but he’s still a bit sloppy for that to be too consistently good…. still that has some potential and i still think he’s in for a big year….

He has a lot of skills and looks very advanced for a 19 year old. I’m sure there will be ups and downs and nights he pisses me off, but we drafted a very good basketball player. We all know what he has to do. He knows what he has to do. It may take a 2-3 years, but basketball IQ, mental toughness, or lack of effort won’t be the things that stop him. He can become a #1 or # 2 option on a very good team.
