As one of the few serious Knicks fans in Melbourne (outside of a sea of Lakers, Warriors and Heat fans), I can confirm I will be on the first flight to LAX then on to NYC when we win it all.

Melbourne is a great city. I love it there, could live there happily.

I happened to be in New York when the Giants won in 2008 and I’ll always remember being at the parade, it was really a great moment. And I care much, much less about football then I do about basketball.

@153 I want to physically be in New York if and when the Knicks finally win it all. I want to cry and exude unreasonable, intergalactic joy and watch the join in as whole city goes crazy.

it’s not about self promotion or anything of that nature…it’s literally about sharing…

I for one would be very interested…

shoot, I’m super grateful for jk’s musical links (hell, I feel instantly cooler just watching/listening to some of that stuff), bruno’s world views, a peek in to dan’s life, farfa’s beautiful writing and voice, gambling 101 with strat, z-man pounding the pavement mile after mile, i probably already have, but, can’t wait to read some of al’s work…and on and on and on…

we all share this passion for a particular sports franchise, but, we’re a community too…

the knicks are always the lead here, but, it’s just not thoughts, words, opinions we share, when it’s really good – it’s a bit of ourselves also…

No one here in LA would ever understand that level of joy, because they don’t engage in, or understand the concept of, collective sports misery.

When I lived in Syracuse, I didn’t do tabletop but i did play some RPGs. D&D yes, also Palladium/Rifts. Even Deadlands once or twice.
When I was in undergrad, I heard rumors that dudes were losing their academic scholarships over becoming Civ addicts.
