Also, the 2016 Democratic primary was not particularly close.

Clinton won the popular vote by a 55-43 margin. She won PLEDGED delegates 54-46 percent. Final pledged delegate count was 2205-1846. As Early Bird correctly notes, this is all in line with what polling said at the time.

Bernie did pretty damn good for a blustery old hippie with zero charisma, lucky for him he drew an opponent who nobody liked. But he still lost, fair and square, to the opponent nobody liked, by a comfortable margin. All the butthurt whingeing in the world isn't going to change that.

This time Bernie is going to have to beat like 20 opponents instead of one, and there's gonna be a whole other world of butthurt again when he loses to Kamala or Beto or Biden or whoever. It's gonna be the same old "DNC stole it from poor old Bernie" bullshit again, I can see it happening already, because people like Ntilakilla here (I see them in my Facebook feed all day long) think there is literally NO WAY Bernie can lose unless it is stolen from him. That he is so righteous and popular and God-like that The Man is just gonna do whatever it takes to keep him down.

Never mind the fact that even if he won the presidency, Bernie would still have to deal with Mitch McConnell and Blue Dog Democrats and the same bullshit that any mere mortal Democrat would have to deal with, and that the results from President Harris (or whoever) probably wouldn't look all that different from the results of President Sanders. No. Those other candidates all suck. Only Bernie is virtuous and true. Only Bernie can save us.

It's MAGA in reverse.

The trade seems to have come as a surprise to KP, so I don't think the Mavs would have gotten an opportunity to talk to him. That said, even if the Knicks gave all the information they had on the alleged extortion, it was a year old incident at the time of the trade, so it's easy to imaging the Mavs didn't worry very much about it.

If KP really said the things alleged in the link, it's easy to imagine the woman got pissed off and didn't let things slide. Sometimes a person can be his own worst enemy.

The Knicks have nothing to worry about in this situation. I mean, what, did Mark Cuban in his infinite wisdom not follow up with “interesting, on what basis is he being extorted?” That’s a leak from the Mavs to make them look less shitty to people who don’t want to think for a second.

100%.

Imagine that there’s no knee issue, and the Mavs ask the Knicks why they were looking to move him. The Knicks respond: “He’s unhappy with his current situation.” The idea that the Mavs would go, “Oh, okay. Where do we sign?” without asking further questions would be ridiculous. If this rumor is true, the Mavs general counsel should be fired with cause by the end of business tomorrow. It’s just so unbelievably dumb an explanation that I can’t believe it could happen. It’s not evil-dumb, like Cuban’s culture of sexual harassment. It’s just dumb.

Seems very likely. For once, I’m not overly concerned. Cuban just needs some plausible deniability.

I gotta hand it to the FO for getting themselves out of this situation before it became a mess. Where would be now without that trade? We’d be faced with either having to negotiate with an alleged rapist who feels entitled to a max contract or trying to trade a player who hadn’t played in 1.5 years and had a potential criminal proceeding hanging over him.

Hillary Clinton did not rig independent national polls. Independent polling groups placed Hillary Clinton ahead of Sanders during the primary. For any theory you've put forth so far, there's the easy counter argument that the results of the primary are largely in line with the findings of the independently conducted polls--that Hillary Clinton beat Bernie Sanders. At no point did Sanders surpass Clinton in the polls.

Sanders signed the same exact agreement with the DNC that allowed Clinton to send money to the DNC. To any extent that you claim the agreement favored Clinton, that claim is nullified by the fact Sanders signed the same agreement and had the same financial opportunity to give money to the party.

Any right to oversee personnel was for the general election only. People who run the general election are different than the people who run the primaries. The power to oversee personnel for the general election has no effect on the primaries. The personnel chosen for the general election are likely influenced by the winner of the primary anyway. Any claim of influence is tenuous at best

Peddle your lies, half-truths, and bias elsewhere. Now, let's return to the Knicks.
