Magic went all in and lost big time so far, the Lakers managed to add LeBron and keep “the young core” together and they might win less games than last season.

I would love it so much if the Lakers simply stopped getting breaks in terms of superstars wanting to go there for no reason other than them being the Lakers. I like LeBron, but it’s a joy seeing the Lakers in shambles.

If I’m the Pelicans, I’m getting real wary of the package the Lakers have to offer. Ingram has played well lately but he’s still more Wiggins than a potential superstar and Kuzma can’t defend me on a basketball court and is a bad rebounder who’s not even a really efficient scorer, plus he’s already 23. At this point they might have dodged a big bullet by not accepting the Lakers offer, specially if Davis eventually warms up to the idea of re-signing for other teams.

I too am enjoying the Laker dumpster fire and the frustrated looks an all of their faces after each loss. Schadenfruede, it feels good..... Agree, they kept and signed some real knuckleheads instead of keeping Randle and Nance. Magic is not a genius as a GM so far, the pieces are a bad fit.

I do worry if they miss the playoffs that the league will want to fix it so LA miraculously wins the Zion lottery. That would really suck, but wouldn’t surprise all that much.

My favorite part of the last year has been the Lakers trading away or letting go of their two best young role players (Nance and Randle) in favor of the young upside bros, and watching them be right around where anyone with half a brain knew they’d be.

Ingram’s highlight reel will haunt the Lakers for years. Dude is going to get a Wigginsesque deal and the jury’s still out on whether he’ll ever be worth more than $10M in actual production.

Good to see the Suns beat LA.

I thought the Lakers had a decent young core last year. They started playing better, but other than getting Lebron pretty everything else they've done has been bad. They added a bunch of knuckleheads and either traded or let a couple of the decent young players go. Then the AD trade scenario was botched by someone's camp. Lebron looks like he's lost a step on defense and may be starting to "check out". With some competent management they probably could have put together a really good team quickly, but they made a mess instead. As good as he still is, Lebron's window is not that long.
