This seems like a good time to remind everyone that Phil traded what would today be the 32nd pick in 2019 for the ability to sign Travis Wear. An underrated idiotic move.

The worst part was not that it was done to sign Travis Wear, per se. It was done so that the Knicks wouldn’t have to pay Travis Outlaw’s $3 million salary when Phil wanted to keep Wear over Outlaw. Rather than just cut Outlaw if he really needed Wear on the team instead of Outlaw, Phil instead traded a pick to Philly so that they would take Outlaw’s contract off of the Knicks’ hands. And yes, I agree that that was one of Phil’s most underrated shitty moves.

He sometimes shows he can do more stuff than last year (when he’s playing point), but he doesnt do it very often. He also is sometimes a wing this season instead of point and that also conceals some progress.
