In regards to the disrespect, I mean, who cares… it’s annoying obviously but it’s just a troll trying to attack someone, in the end he’s the one who’s desperately trying to cling to a position of privilege by mistreating others and reaffirming this perceived power. I’m glad there are a lot more great posters here who either share my feelings or are in disagreement but do so in a manner where we can have actual discussions on the matters.

Bruno, thank you for sharing your story and I am sorry that you were treated by such disrespect from members of this community. Unrelated but I think you post interesting and thoughtful content.

Last year I shared my non normative preferences with my wife of five years and family and employer. It’s a very difficult process. To diminish these stories is typically born of ignorance. Thank you to those posters who listen without judgement.

Aside from the comment I just made that awaits moderation, I’ll note that all of my posts from the last few days begging for the ban hammer to be used against a certain poster have not even made it that far…they simply disappeared immediately upon post. But…man, I was right about that one.

The moderation stuff seemingly happens randomly, and that’s odds, but I would be beyond shocked if Mike K. and B.C. were behind any kind of censorship re: calling out someone like ProjectKnicks. They have never expressed opinions remotely close to his. Doesn’t compute, so I’d assume some kind of weird moderation hell before anything like censorship.

Is there a timing reason for renouncing holds early? Why not wait till we’ve got a FA on the line?

I’m not sure Burke was a sure thing at the end of last season. It wasn’t a huge sample size, sustainability was a real concern. I can also see Burke betting on himself and not wanting a cheap multi-year deal.

I think they are/were trying to clear as much cap space as possible to chase a big name FA in 2019. That’s why cap holds could be crucial in the decision making early next year. They need to decide who the young core is going forward.

I hope that they wait another year to chase an FA, but I guess if KD does indeed look to go elsewhere, they are going to try to get him.
