Why would the league care if the Lakers are great? It wouldn’t help with revenue sharing. Thinking about it, it probably helps with the national TV contract, but then again, the same would be true if the NY teams were non-garbage…

Mavs beat the Warriors! Another nice tank result.

538 projecting the Mavs for 31 wins now, starting to pull away from us. 6 teams left with projections in the 20’s; not bad.

Injuries could play a big part in the tank sweepstakes.
The Knicks have so little talent. If for instance Hardaway and/or Kanter go down for an extended period of time scoring will be even harder to come by.

Of course other teams will likely have injuries too. Cleveland and Atlanta do look tough to out suck. With his roster there is a chance the Knicks can do it.

The comment on the last thread that Anthony Davis and KD are going to join LeBron with the Lakers next year made me violently nauseous. Of course the league mandated “steer the best players to the Lakers” policy will probably come into play and make this happen. Count on Davis ending up there.
