Durant is actually underrated.
Bill James is right that players who do a lot of things well but nothing great are the most underrated players, while players who are great at one thing are overrated.
Well Durant can do everything great but doesn’t light up any particular stat. He’s a 7 foot guy playing pg with Curry out, who can guard any position and is unstoppable on offense from anywhere on the floor. He’s a privilege to watch.

I agree. I think the current starters play NBA level defense, but basically only have Hardaway on offense, unless some other players get lucky. I actually expect that Mudiay might get a start instead of Ntilikina, but I could easily be wrong. Mudiay is a better defender than Knox, and might set up other players better.

Kevin Knox scores about as efficiently as Ntilikina does except he shoots a lot and plays no defense. By all means, play the kid, we have nothing better to do, but it will absolutely not help if he replaces Vonleh unless Knox gets dramatically better. He’s been one of the worst players in the NBA so far. (small sample size obviously)
