I must be a slave. I just watched the Knick game on my SlingBox on a trans-Atlantic flight. Mudiay is on his last legs. We can’t have two zero-offense guards and Frank can play D. I like Vonleh as our replacement for O’Quinn. It wouldn’t be a sin to send Robinson to the G-Leaugue. Kornet is a wasted spot.

I love the Trier & Burke back court. We won’t need much offense from the front court when they’re playing together.
Oh, and I suspect it was quiet here because of a certain game in Boston. I watched that first. I wish it had a different outcome.

If we can't move Lee, and we won't cut Mudiay I think the obvious choice to cut to make room for Trier is Kornet. He's barely an NBA player and with Vonleh on the team, he is the fourth string center. On top of that none of our centers except maybe, Vonleh can play the PF.

I really want to see Baker get some burn with the rotation players. His defense is legit and right now probably even better than Frank's. On top of that, he moves the ball well and only shoots when he has a wide open shot. I'd love to see him get 25 minutes+ over the next two games to see if he deserves to be in the rotation. I'd love to see him get all of Mudiay's minutes once the season starts.

Seeing Vonleh up close is pretty eye-opening. He was significantly more muscular than anyone out there tonight. On that dunk for the and-1, he went right through a defender's arm like it wasn't there. I'm not sure how that will translate in the regular season, but he's definitely a great no-risk move. He also looks like he can hit an occasional spot-up 3, not as a go-to move but just enough to keep the defense honest.

Vonleh is another reason why I’m cautiously optimistic about the front office. We could have gone for someone liked Anthony Tolliver or a random veteran PF to fill the holes on the team, but going for a guy like Vonleh, a blue chip prospect who seems to not have figured out anything yet is the right move.

He can’t score at all but he’s shown he can be a rebounder, it’s a worthwhile gamble. He’s sorta kinda like Mudiay in the sense that he has proven in the minutes he played he’s not a NBA level player, but unlike Mudiay he has one skill that he excels on (rebounding), so why not take a gamble and see if he can develop something else.

That’s what I like from a team projected to be bad. Pick up reclamation projects but do it when these players have shown at least something to be hopeful of.

3-0! 3-0!

In all seriousness, there are promising signs so far. We're still probably going to lose a lot of games until KP comes back (if not beyond), but we should be a lot more entertaining while we do it.
