I’d read that too, and again, not going to Philly makes no sense whatsoever! Simmons is a pure point guard, Embiid will demand touches (and deserve them) and the rest of their offense is motion, all the time. Screens and cuts everywhere. He could get 10+ points per game at the rim without dribbling.

Just makes no sense. Maybe he knows that Magic Johnson is a starfucker who’ll give him a 5-year max Bird extension in 2022 at like 40% of the cap. That would work, right? 4 consecutive years? You know, I hadn’t thought of that until now…

I don’t see Lebron putting up Lonzo’s entourage so a trade is imminent one way or the other and it will probably involve Kawhi. Supposedly, the King wants to play more off the ball as a 4 in the Lakers new look offense. I’ll believe it when I see it.

LeBron’s Lakers are officially the team nobody wants to play but they’re not better than Houston.

They sure aren’t. That team looks like dogshit to me. Still trying to figure out how the GOAT decided that a few years of Hollywood was worth more than a serious shot at another 2-3 championships with Philly. The difference between their rosters is stark, and even with LeBron they might not reach 60 wins. The idea of the Lakers finishing more than a few games over .500 is downright absurd to me.

I think he might be angling for Davis to join him in LA, in which case, sure, you can compete. But with LeBron’s prime soon to become a thing of the past (I’m sure I said this in 2012, but still, he can’t keep getting away with it), it doesn’t matter.

The Lakers are irrelevant past the first round unless Lonzo or Kuzma or Ingram truly take the leap. I don’t see it happening.

Houston has Harden, Paul and Capela as a core. Of course LA could make more moves or just be better than expected, but that seems better than Lebron, McGee, Rondo and Ball. You could say their young guys will get better, but, in someways, Lebron could stifle their development. But what do I know, it’s not written in stone

MCW took a minimum deal. I doubt he’s really going to play any minutes for them. He’s essentially replacing, Bobby Brown and Briante Weber. They really didn’t have an actual back-up point guard last season. So I don’t mind MCW as a break-in-case-of-emergency guy. He can also play the type of defense they like to play (he can switch with the best of them). He just has no offensive game at all (like, at all).

Losing PJ Tucker, Ariza, and Mbah A Moute is a problem but they’re still the number 2 team in the Western Conference.

They didn’t lose Tucker. They’d be really fucked if they lost him on top of Ariza and Mbah a Moute, as he’s pretty much the key to their small ball lineups.

LeBron’s Lakers are officially the team nobody wants to play but they’re not better than Houston. I’m obviously in the minority here but D’Antoni and Chris Paul is a totally different situation from Billy Donovan and Russell Westbrook. Not just that, but Melo had to be the #3 option on an OKC team that simply wasn’t very good. In Houston, Melo is playing behind CP3, Harden, and Capela so I see room for improvement in his numbers from last season. Losing PJ Tucker, Ariza, and Mbah A Moute is a problem but they’re still the number 2 team in the Western Conference.
