I would have given Hayes either Hick’s or Kornet’s spot since we already have way too many bigs. He seems like just what we’re looking for.

Boogie is an expiring contract. We’d get a lot of cash off of our books. We’d also clearly be tanking for this season. So I would consider it. I think New Orleans would too. I think for them its really important to make the playoffs this year.

I really feel bad for Boogie. What a blow. My fingers are crossed for him.

I would actually offer Kanter, a future 1st and cap filler for Boogie right now. I might even be willing to add Willy in lieu of a 1st. Ruptured Achilles is a tough injury to come back from, and if the Pels are still serious about the playoffs, they probably should consider it. Better yet, Perry should offer Noah and Willy for Cousins and a 2nd. Let Kanter, KOQ, and Kornet have the center spot while rehabbing the shit outta Boogie. That would be the most shrewd move ever. You know what? Kanter + KOQ for Boogie straight up. Final offer.

Wally needs to calm down, but I agree with one thing he said, Frank can sit and Trey should play. Trey is the real deal. I’ve been clamoring for him for a while. They need to sign him to an extension as soon as they land in NY. Give him 3 years @ $2M per right now. In a few months his price goes up to $12M per. This is Jeremy Lin but with a better pedigree.

It was pretty obvious they needed to bring up Burke by 12/1. That could have really helped the team.
Also, am I the only one disappointed by us losing Nigel Hayes for no good reason?

New Orleans has been aggressive in the trade market, trying to add wing help and shooting to fortify a playoff run. Devastating blow for DeMarcus Cousins, who would’ve made his first trip to the playoffs and entered free agency off his most successful pro season.

Does that mean that they’re still going to go for the playoffs?
