With Fizdale tweaking the starting lineup, I suspect that either Frank or Lance are sitting. We need more offense. Does Lee get some action?

I really wanted to see Mitch Robinson try and defend the Freak. We’re 28th in team blocks per game, 24th in rebounds per game and dead last in assists per game. I have to imagine that M-Rob helps in two of these categories. As for assists, it proves that there’s no point guard on this team. There isn’t a point forward or any other distributor.

Last night, there were at least a half dozen times where a Knick could have taken a 3-pt shot but instead decided to drive into the paint, into traffic, to put up a bad 2-pt shot. If they want to win, they need to hoist up those 3’s! The Bucks average 40 3PA/g at a 40% clip and the Knicks 31 at a 35% clip. It’s such a huge point differential as it translates to 6 extra 3pt shots made per game.

Yeah, you really have to embrace the three in the modern NBA. Teams that don’t, well, they are confusing.

Speaking of the offense, moving this over from the other thread:

I have no buyers remorse on Fizdale, who’s been wonderful. But watching the diverse and free flowing Bucks offense had me playing what if. If we had hired Bud, would our team have more ball movement? Or would he have recognized, as Fiz seems to have, that this is a roster full of limited players, and the better scorers aren’t naturally inclined to pass? The talent gap is pretty wide so far, and we’ve been able to compete thanks to (as someone on P&T put it) bursts of defensive intensity and bad shots going in. That might work in the short term, but I hope that whenever Fiz actually feels he can install his offense, it looks a lot better and more modern than this.

I think it’s possible that Burke gets replaced as a starter. The Knocks gave up more that thirty points in the first quarter of all thirty losses.

When you have a top 5 player in the NBA i think it’s much easier to have a free flowing offense no matter what system you’re running.

Agreed, but I also think it’s fair to say that Budz is just one of the very top coaches in the game. It’s no disservice to not be as good of as coach as Budz.
