jdambrot: Brian – thanks for the great article.My father was a wonderful man. It was difficult seeing such a strong man struggle with Parkinson’s at the end of his life.He rarely spoke about the scandal, but I do know there was a good amount of coercion involved and he never spent any of the money.
There are also some interesting stories regarding becoming a Knick.He did want to be a Knick, but there was only one “home game only” position at the time and it went to Debuscher (sp?) – I actually found this out after his death.Probably some interesting additional stories here.
