The Knickerblogger/Posting and Toasting Shindig is Tomorrow!

So, for those of you in the greater NY/NJ Metropolitan area, I have an invitation to extend to you all. Seth, please explain:

There is a P&T/Knickerblogger meet-up on Saturday, December 28 at Idle Hands. We will watch the Knicks-Raptors game at 7 PM (the second of a back-to-back, on the road). There will be $5 drinks. I will ask to smell your necks. If you would like to come, please send me (ptknicksblog at gmail) an email with your name or P&T name and the number of people you expect to bring (just so I can give the bar a rough head count). Please put the word “marzipan” in the subject line of your email. I’m serious. Makes it easier to sort. I don’t get a lot of emails about marzipan. Not anymore. Not since the accident.

If you’re free, this will be the chance to at least suffer Knicks basketball with like-minded individuals, as opposed to paying obscene amounts of money to replace the flatscreen that you may or may not have broken when you flung your Patrick Ewing official sneakers through the infernal device in abject, gut-wrenching frustration/rage.

I’ll be there. Mike “Grand Poobah” Kurylo will be there. Ji’m Ca’van will be making the trek from his survivalist bunker in New “Live Free or Die” Hampshire (and he may be heavily armed and/or bearing artisanal, chemically-enhanced, possibly mind-altering maple syrups). Kevyn Illyich McElroyvanov caught a lift on an oxcart with a band of Gypsies from Chicago and will be in attendance. Plus the aforementioned Seth and many, many of the fine folks who (for reasons unknown to man or deity) write about the Knickerbockers on the regular.

We’ll talk like real people n’ stuff. Hope to see you there!.

And I may be reciting this speech before tipoff. For serious.

I am looking forward to this. Enjoyed the one you guys had way back in the 2010 season opener. My Knickerblogger-purchased Follower T-shirt with LeBron’s image may be less trendy this time.

Hopefully everyone’s recent twitter celebrity hasn’t gotten to all your heads yet!
