Last season a late-season loss in Boston (remember that wonderful Pierce 3 to force OT in beantown when we had just come out of a wretched second half hole to take a seemingly comfortable lead, only to lose in excrutiatingly painful fashion once again in Boston) torpedoed a good stretch and served as a catalyst to losing 7-8 games, which ultimately led to D'antoni's demise (so maybe a good thing in the end?).

Hopefully this win in Boston last night, conversely, serves as a springboard to a nice winning stretch like when we started the season, especially with a relatively soft schedule coming up, and lots of home games. Anything less than 7-3 in the next 10 I think would be a disappointment now that Felton is back in the mix.

This is an amazing recap. I come to this site every once and a while to read your recaps. They are always well-written and hilarious. I wonder why someone at ESPN or some other sports company hasn't hired you to write for them. I could also totally see you hosting a Sports show on Comedy Central (like a Daily Show or Colbert but for Sports)...

This is the best recap I've read here in a long time. I didn't get to watch the game, but this recap made me almost feel it as it unfolded.

ephus: Welcome aboard. Jump in, the water is fine. Just remember, anything you say may lead to a flame-war from one of our residents.

Thanks for the encouragement ephus. I know better than to get involved in a ruru/THCJ slap fight. Maybe one day I'll throw a Berri stat grenade in the forum, but only if Im bored.

Although I love analytics (econ/finance degrees) I feel like its taken too far at times and people defend their preferred stat/ratio absolutely. I played the game, I watch the game and I love the game so I tend to trust my eyes, kind of old school like that. But props to those of you that dig into the gritty numbers, I've certainly learned a thing or two from some of the resident posters (and toasters, couldnt resist).

Now lets get Mr. Felton back and go on a streak. I'd love to look back on Jan 24th as the catalyst of a memorable run (to early?)

mcliff05: First post ever gents. When I first discovered KnickerBlogger over a year ago I was just happy to escape the sensationalized articles and troll-ridden comment boards of ESPN. I’ve always enjoyed reading the well written recaps from true Knick fans and intelligent discourse over actual basketball topics and advanced stats. I am compelled to say that this is BY FAR my favorite recap. Hilarious and 100% encapsulating of my emotions during this game. Fantastic job Kevin. That gif is the perfect way to start the weekend!

After suffering through the last twelve years (everything between JVG's exit and Woodson's ascension has been somewhere between poor to existentially awful), I want to celebrate that we have a team is quite good, easy to root for and plays the game intelligently.
