This Rondo news scares me. You guys are looking at it the wrong way. I'm wondering where Pierce & Garnett end up. They're like hydra's heads. I can see either or both of them on Brooklyn in 3 weeks.

Rondo torn ACL, out for the year.

I'm kinda... sad? Rondo is the one guy on that team whose knee I don't want blown to smithereens. Would've been really interesting to see him shipped somewhere different.

Now they really have to blow that team up. Wow, how lucky for the Knicks! Now a top 2 seed is really important as the bottom two teams in the Eastern playoffs will likely be awful.

we get Don Quixote one night and Yeat's The Second Coming on the next. I guess I know why I come here...

Regarding Anthony's recent minutes and play:

Last 11 games (Since Stoudemire returned):41.1 MPG, 52.4% TS%, 35.8% USG%

First 23 games: 35.7 MPG, 58.8% TS%, 34.6% USG%

This is what makes me annoyed with Woodson -- Like Thibodeau and other coaches in the past (see early Rick Carlisle) who had a lot of regular season success and little playoff success, he doesn't seem to see the big picture.

Popovich, present-day Carlisle, and Phil Jackson use(d) the regular season to teach the team patience and get them in a routine of trusting each other and their system and rotations. They don't press guys to win each individual reg. season game by playing them huge minutes. These extra regular season losses, to me, add up in the long term to a team that is focused on the long term, on playing the right way, on trusting each other. They also ensure the team is fresher than others come the playoffs.

With Stoudemire back, Woodson's focus should have been on getting him integrated, not on winning at all costs. He should be the primary option a lot more minutes, allowing Anthony to stay fresh, and keeping him from losing his head (like he seems to have recently with all the bad shooting games) and trying to do it all himself. The coach's focus in the regular season should always be on making the team as good as it can be in the long term.

Speaking about his game-losing 19 foot miss last night, Jamal Crawford remarked, “I’ll take that shot 10 out of 10 and I’ll make it nine out of 10.”

You know who I don’t miss?
