I dont like to criticize actual articles written here cause lord knows I couldnt write anything close to resembling a decent article but yeah this was pretty bad and useless. Ive been reading this site and commenting pretty regularly since 2008 so Ive gotten used to reading very good articles from this site so there is a pretty high standard expected here I would think.

In regards to this topic, me and Brian had comments the other night about this topic and you got more info from those few comments than in this article. How about some history of Knicks coaches in the All-Star Game??

Got ninja'd there, but to review:

"Usually the coaches of the teams with the best overall record in each conference get the distinction of coaching the All-Star teams every season, but that won’t be the case this year.
Since the best records in each conference belong to the Bulls’ Tom Thibodeau (Eastern Conference) and the Thunder’s Scott Brooks (Western Conference), and because they also coached the teams last year, new coaches must be selected. Woodson is one of many coaches who have the opportunity up in the air when the decision is made Monday morning."

Actually, the Heat are in first.
Actually, SA is in first.
Actually, Pop is already locked in as coach.
Actually only Woodson and Spoelstra can statistically be the coach.

That’s some truly shitty reporting.

there was no point. your lead was wrong, and the rest of the piece had zero content. another thing is that “many coaches” do not have a chance at this point, two in each conference have a chance (MIA/NYK and SA/LAC since Brooks coached last year.

what you could have done was actually tell us the schedules of the teams involved, and maybe note that only if all four MIA/NYK games go the right way would Spoelstra not be the East coach. what you could have done was add any actual content whatsoever, but you chose not to and then dismiss the valid complaints. what you can do in the future is write better pieces, or find a different profession or at least a different place to post.

</blockquote>
Actually, Pop has already secured being the coach in the West as of Wednesday night. So it's even worse than you say. Actually the West is determined and in the East Woodson needs consecutive wins and consecutive Miami losses to get there. So they're all but selected at this point. This article needed a serious revision.

This is just very confusing.

TRT - your statement "...eh what can you do mistakes are made" is very discouraging to hear from a writer or journalist.

What can you do? Proofread. Check facts. Proofread again. Pretty straightforward. This isn't Facebook.

Everyone makes mistakes...take it easy. The main idea is Woody still has a shot, but we have to pass Miami. It'd be cool, but, like Woody, i realty don't care.

I was so glad to see Woody back to his non-smiling, curmudgeonly demeanor calling out the defense after the Orlando win...too often, he'd be too happy with squeaker wins where we plyed like crap on defense. I was surprised he called out shump and White, but i think he was trying to get tthem motivated for tonight's game which presents a major challenge for our perimeter defenders.

I think February is going to be an excellent month.

very dangerous game. we haven't been able to stop guards lately, it's easy to take this stretch of the schedule for granted, MIL would be NY's first round opponent if the playoffs started today, and Jennings is going to be pumped to show he should have been picked to the All-Star team. plus most importantly, we almost invariably suck on Fridays.

if I were Woodson, I'd be trying to get the team to treat this one like a Miami or Brooklyn game, I think it's a big one.
