The problem is that Prigioni’s the only other point guard. Shump, JR and Kidd aren’t very effective at the point. It’s going to be tough for Woodson to figure out what to do when everyone is healthy. I’d try playing JR and/or Shump at the 3 for some parts of the game, and trying to keep either Prigs or Felton on the court for the whole game.

the thing is that of the guys who should be in the four guard rotation when everyone is healthy (Felton, Shumpert, Kidd, Smith), Felton is the only one who is better at PG. it might make sense to go with Felton/Kidd as the starters and Smith/Shumpert off the bench, with Smith or Melo playing point on offense when Felton sits.

You seem to be leaving out Prigioni from the rotation. I am not sure that’s a good idea. Some nights, like last night, he seems just as good or better than Kidd. And sometimes he comes in and has the ball and starts pointing players to different places and gets the players moving and an actual play run. So even though he scores less than Kidd, he seems to make the second team move without the ball. Also, the Knicks have been doing well with lineups with two point guards. When Shump can play full minutes it might be better to displace Brewer’s minutes rather than Prigioni’s.
