So we almost had Matt Barnes, but Mike Woodson said no.

His WS/48 last year was .142, and his WP/48 last year was .217. He put those numbers up in 1,440 minutes (22.9 minutes a game). Not signing him for the vet’s minimum is a bad decision.

shot creation blah blah blah defense blah blah blah spot-up jumpers blah blah assisted rate blah blah blah

This is baffling i think he would have been a great spark plug at the backup 3

SF would have been melo, novak, brewer, white, barnes

In these 5 you basically have everything from shooting to offense to defense. I hope we can get the rationale behind this decision

I vote Chandler, but Shump is very close behind. Shump is a blast to root for. He is a bundle of energy. It is like rooting for Avery Bradley (another highly rootable guy).

Woodson seriously said no to Barnes? I wonder why. Perhaps because he knows they don't have minutes for him and he figured Barnes wouldn't react well? I dunno why they can't just give Extra E an invitation to training camp. See if he still has something left.

ess-dog:
So Jon votes for Shump, Flossy votes for Chandler.

Btw it sounds like we’re looking at Malcolm Thomas for the last guaranteed spot.I love this.I think he could be helpful defending and rebounding from the forward spots.Another young guy to root for.

Chris Smith and Copeland have non-Guaranteed contract. There should 2 spot left for 7 people to battle out for. If Thomas sign and I'll surprise if guarantee, that bring roster to 20 players which is max for training camp.

Given Stat injury history and Thomas is 40, I would say we need another PF. Sure Melo could start at PF, but we still need defensive backup.

ess-dog: Yeah, I would probably choose between Shump and Chandler, though it’s weird that they are both primarily defensive players. Plus, one is out most of the year and the other is at the tail end of his career.
