True. You’re not going to get a Dwight Howard, but height is height. I was BIG on Mozgov last year, and he let the pressure of starting get to him. However, he’s got the kit – tall and able to run the floor – of a good role player. He minimized stupid mistakes (you need to make bad fouls to learn what a bad foul is ESPECIALLY if you’re used to Euro ball), and is now starting for one of the best teams in the West.

Jordan isn’t going to turn out like the last Jamaican center we had, but my money is on him being a good role player. A center with size that can move AND has the right attitude is always a plus; he just needs time. It seemed like most of KB was up on him before we got Tyson, but Tyson’s so good that we forgot about him. Also, along with Lin, he did great in the d-league before we recalled him.

I’m calling that tonight he’s going to a) either have a breakout game where he proves he can be a rotation player or b) make some bad rookie botches and be forever condemned to sit in D’Antoni’s doghouse with Renaldo Balkman.

He’ll gives us fouls in the Lakers game, that ‘s certain and with their front court the Knicks may need them all.
Seriously, i think Jordan is very raw. There are times he looks kinda lost, like he doesn’t yet know the game plan…and he probably doesn’t because he hasn’t played with the starters….and let’s face it, not everyone is a Harvard grad.Lol

That would have been my guess, with Shump ending up playing more minutes, though, off the bench for whoever needs the relief, Fields or Walker (the Lin/Shump/Fields/Jeffries/Chandler lineup is the best one that the Knicks have right now).

(Part of me almost wishes that Chandler would catch a cold for the game, just so that our $58,000,000 team could have a starting lineup of all min-contract guys (and to at least give the Wizards a fighting chance!))
