And it took him this long to figure it out, seriously why shouldnt he be fired again?? Our coach just keeps surprising me every single day.

I have trouble criticizing a coach for showing faith in his players. TD was not this inept last season and I think Mike is realizing that he is not right physically.

D'Antoni is a polarizing figure, no doubt. You either love him or hate him. If he plays Lin too early we would have heard acrimony about giving a Harvard scrub who was already cut by two teams this year unwarranted playing time because Mike loves to tinker/is a bad communicator is sending messages ala Larry Hughes/some other random BS.

Man, early on I thought I'd rather see Lin out there than Bibby, if only because Lin might have upside while Bibby has none. I can't believe I'm at the point where I'd now prefer Lin to both point guard options (all three options, if you include Shump as a point guard)!

“He shows he can run a pick and roll and he’s got some instincts of a point guard and maybe we’ll look at that a little bit more and see where we’re going because that’s what we need,” the coach said.

What a quote that is!

"He actually looks like he can run basic point guard plays, which is a huge improvement over our current point guards."

D'Antoni liked what he saw from third-string PG Jeremy Lin on Saturday night in Houston. He may give the former Harvard standout more minutes on Tuesday against Detroit.

Straight up trade of Kyrie for Toney would do wonders for both rosters. Man alive, this GM stuff is easy business!

I disagree. We suck because of injuries, but mostly because we don't have a good point guard ... or an adequate one.

Right, right I can’t even believe you put Avery, Kidd and Fish in the same conversation with the others, are u kidding me, how many playoff dagger or game winning threes has Fish hit, do you know who defended lebron the most in the finals, and don’t even get me started on Avery plus you forget what JJ Bareas penetration did to the Lakers. Man, point guarding or playmaking matters in this game. Remember that one of the two MJs is a big point guard with 5 rings and Kareem never won a ring until magic got drafted.

@ 19 true but then again OKC starts Thabo Sefolosha 5.2 ppg 2.7 rpg 0.9 apg (9.0, 4.6, 1.5/36) and Kendrick Perkins 4.7 ppg 5.7 rpg 1.2 bpg (6.3, 7.7, 1.6). PER 11.7 and 7.1. So lots of people would say they suck. Sefolosha is redeemed by his .623 TSP .481 3pt% Perkins, considering he is a C, not so much with his .541. Well looking at everything there I'm not sure I didn't prove myself wrong, but thats two limited offensive players getting 21 and 26 mpg and starting. Ibaka is 10.3 p/36, 9.3 r/36 3.3 b/36 or 7.5, 6.7, 2.4/g. So he is a bit more lively but has a .524 TSP but 15.5 PER. WS/48 and .123 for Ibaka, .126 for Sefolosha and .034 for Perkins and .069 for Nazr Mohammed his backup. (admission Harden plays 30 mpg and has a .252 WS/48 better even than Durant @ .222). Depending on how you define good a lot of people might argue that its a few great once a couple above average (Collison, Westbrook). Sorry for the stream of consciousness post that in the end goes nowhere.
